尾西楽斎様が手掛けた「ろくろ目花入」は、陶芸の基本技法であるろくろ成形の美しさを前面に押し出した作品です。この花入れは、ロクロの上で粘土を指で引き上げて成形する際に生じる指痕が、表面に筋状の模様として現れています。その指痕が、まるで自然に生じた模様のように美しく、装飾としての役割を果たしています。
