Our monsoon season this past summer had a surprising result – a baby boom of butterflies

orange or red blooms and are a welcome hit of color

They are prevalent in my area and predator to many critters including lizards

This past fall a group of fellow artists went to the Desert Botanical Garden to take in the butterfly pavilion
