I focused on the different wing stages when I designed the statement necklace and felt this was the best shape for the brooch. Each brooch is quite chunky but is backed with 2mm black acrylic so is easy to wear. I thought long and hard about the layering of these and realised that you can get thicker acrylic so it was perfect for the layering of this piece to make them appear layered
