Vintage Welsh Miner’s Lamp This early 1900s edition ofThis little lamp is one of my favorite finds yet, because I had no idea of its history until I brought it home with me and did some research. Before electric lamps were invented in the early 1900s, miners would use kerosene lamps like this one as a light source down in the mines. This of course was fairly dangerous, as any open flame had the possibility of igniting gases released in the mining process. This lamp in particular seems to be fairly rare,
