Zind-Humbrecht Gewurztraminer Roche Calcaire 2017 Bottle:1 These vines grow in theDeep yellow colour. The grape variety character is showing clearly on the nose with powerful peppery aromas. The wine has still to open. The palate is ample, powerful, warming. A fair presence of tannins, typical for this grape, add to the structure. This wine is a the opposite of the easy sweet round flowery Gewurztraminer : serious and imposing. Ripe, almost overripe notes of juicy pear abound on the nose of this wine. There also is a sense of baked
