Domaine de la Romanee-Conti (DRC) La Tache Monopole Grand Cru 2017 [NET] JULY4 Sandlands)La Tche is DRC's monopole and the largest of their Grand Crus, generally the most opulent and structured of the domaine's reds. The 2017 reading is a particularly graceful one: this was a cooler, more transparent vintage in Burgundy, and La Tche showed up paler than usual, almost translucent, leading with floral high notes, rose, leather, peat smoke, and racy red berry fruit.
