The nose has plenty of quite lush red berry fruit, but it misses the clarity of other Volnays included in this tasting. The palate is medium bodied and feels more assured and complex than the aromatics at this point with a mlange of red and black fruit. It is slightly ferrous and savory towards the persistent finish.
