My recent visit to Giacomo Conterno was fascinating

Here the nose is slightly riper and a bit spicier as well on the purple fruit nose where the nuances are stifled somewhat by the presence of noticeable if not dominant reduction

A rich mouthfeel and a long finish

An exquisite Cornas where syrah shines

Camille Giroud, Volnay Caillerets other_regions_italy My recent visit to GiacomoA gorgeously fresh nose of highly complex red and black pinot fruit that is liberally laced with wet stone, spice and earth nuances. There is a suave mouth feel to the mineral inflected and delineated middle weight flavors that exude that lovely sense of underlying tension on the mouth coating and moderately austere finish. This beautifully balanced effort is really quite classy. (90 92) 2019+
