Rowdy Rufous Print Alaska Favorite comes back to the nextROWDY RUFOUS The Rufous Hummingbird comes to Alaska approximately the last week in March and they are gone again by Aug 1. In that time they pick out a territory, find a mate and raise two batches of babies. The males are EXTREMELY aggressive and will attack and try to drive away anybody or anything that comes into their territory. Even though they view me as an intruder I still do my duty and fill the feeder every day. It is such fun to watch the
