"Nichols Lunch" 1963-1967 “ZR-1: The Legend” features aIn November of 2006 Nichols Lunch closed after 85 years of feeing Kansas City good old traditional American diner food. Nichols Lunch memorializes a special venue of the past, perhaps assuring its rightful place in our history. Because I thought that the heyday of Nichols might have been the mid 50s, I painted three American classic cars in front: a 1955 Chevy Bel Air hardtop, a 1956 Chevy Nomad, and a 1957 Bel Air convertible.
