A vineyard owner in Hermitage himself, he was a fervent defender of wine quality and active contributor to the Appellation wine system in the Rhne, and in France (INAO). In 1967, the Cave de Tain took over his estate, which has gradually been extended over the past 30 years to reach 21 hectares
