The leaf shape is similar to Aka Omote, but Ruby Red tends to have more pubescence on the tems and leaves. Stems tend to have a shiny sheen to them like Aka omote. For the time being I am placing it with shirasawanums until more evidence suggests otherwise. Growth to about 12.
