Built as Furness Prince Line's SOUTHERN PRINCE in 1929, Costa picked her up for a song in 1947 after Furness refused to take her back after arduous war duty. The ANNA C was famed Italian designer Nino Zoncada's first commission for Costa. The result was so successful that Zoncada went on to work on many more Costa vessels.
