The Corts family are among the most famous of Matatlns maestros and this is a benchmark example of the Espadn variety. Maestro Mezcalero Gregorio Hernandez uses 100% Espadn (Agave angustifolia) grown at an elevation of over 5,500 feet. This mezcal is cooked in a conical earthen oven, milled using horse driven stone
