Lila Adolfo Nigro YEAR: 1983Leopoldo Torres Aguero was born in La Rioja, Argentina in 1924. He lived in Buenos Aires, Tokyo and Paris. His stay in Japan influenced his work, and led him towards Abstraction and eventually Op Art. He was awarded the Palanza Prize, in 1989 and the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres, in France.
